How I Got An Affordable Luxury Handbag

Want a luxury handbag at an affordable price? Check out my blog to see Linzy-Lou's affordable handbags. You won't be disappointed!

Okay, so I know I have loads of handbags, but in all fairness, I usually have one that I'll use often. I've used my last few ones to death. So, I definitely don't mind updating my handbag collection when I get such good use out of them. I mean it would be rude not to, right?

Recently at an event, I met Linzy-Lou and her amazing collection of handbags. I spotted them from across the room, and my eyes lit up. One problem - we were in central London, and they looked - expensive.

I put my game face on and cautiously walked towards what I knew in my head was going to be hell for my bank balance. Okay - so I'm looking for price tags. No price tags? Oh my god, these must be more expensive than I thought. Look at that mustard one! I MUST!

Then, as if the angels above saw the rip in the seem inside my own handbag - I saw it. "All handbags under £25.00"

I'm going to let that sink in with a visual of said bag.

Who are Linzy-Lou's?

They're a family run business who are passionate about providing handbag lovers like myself, with a wonderful selection of stylish bags and accessories at affordable prices (gotta love em' right?!), allowing everybody the ability to treat themselves or their loved ones and not feel extremely guilty about bleeding their bank balance dry.

They offer lots of different styles and this really shows on their website.

Okay, so my one isn't on the website, because I managed to nab the last one Linzy-Lou's had. I know right? I won't feel guilty. I won't, I wont.

There was also a beautiful black one that I saw in the event which has recently been added to the website! It's a proper classic black bag, which you could definitely dress up or down.

So after falling in love with the bag at the event, it needed to live up to its expectations. It did, and more! It came with a shoulder strap, has a zipper on the back and inside, and a little compartment for your phone.

You can also unzip the sides to make the bag bigger! I've only wore it out a few times and I've already had so many comments on it. I think the colour definitely sets it aside from anything else. I used to have a similar one in the same colour a few years ago from Debenhams and I paid a fortune for it. So I'm definitely over the moon with my new buy.

Pixi by Petra Mattelustre Lipstick - Pure Fuchsia

I'm not much of a lipstick person, I'll be honest. I've always lived by the philosophy that it's either eyes or lips. If I wear both, I look like a drag queen, which is just not the look I'm going for. And I'm way more of an eyeshadow typa gal any way.

The one time I did try to be adventurous and leap out of my comfort zone with both the eyes and lips, I coincidentally ended up in a Gay Bar with a Drag Queen. She quickly pointed me out and asked if I worked in Boots because it looked like I'd tested all the colours on my face.

So, point proven. Advice taken. Nuh.

I've gone through the phases of just wearing very natural make-up and some popping lipstick. Usually I've gone for a red on a nice warm day, and I've really liked it. It's always a confidence thing with me though, so this is few and far between! On this occasion, I've got a 'Pure Fuchsia'* and oh, it's daring.

What's Pixi by Petra?

Simply to bring out the natural beauty in all women – to make women look like themselves, only better. Flawless in a few fuss-free minutes – that's what Pixi is all about!

Natural

Each of the Pixi by Petra products is developed with skin-loving botanical ingredients chosen for effectiveness and safety. They look for the perfect balance of what is ‘natural’ and what is efficacious.

Safe

Their products are safe and non-toxic and they proactively search for the purest and most unadulterated ingredients from natural sources.

Beneficial

Pixi by Petra’s core commitment is to provide effective products that deliver proven benefits to the skin. Creating innovative products that empower and inspire people to make better choices for beauty.

Free From Animal Testing

They do not test their products on animals under no circumstances. This includes checking their suppliers follow the same rules!

It's really soft to put on, but as it's such a bright colour it needs to be put on perfectly. Now to the lipstick professionals, this won't be a problem. To someone who doesn't really wear lipstick, it may take a little more effort to apply. I did really like it though, and the colour actually looked a lot better on my skin than I anticipated!

Thumbs up for me.

Chipped Nail Vanish No More with Little Ondine

Little Ondine is a new type of nail polish that definitely goes beyond its core role. It's peelable, natural and completely cruelty free!

I recently went to an event and spoke with Little Ondine*, a new nail vanish company with a twist. With the amount of nail vanishes out there these days, if you're going to enter the ever growing market, you gotta have a little something extra, right? Well, that's just what they've done.

I was lucky enough to get a sample to try, so I thought I'd share my findings with you guys (I'm ever so thoughtful like that)!

Little Ondine is a new type of nail polish that definitely goes beyond its core role. It's peelable, natural and completely cruelty free!

What's different about Little Ondine?

Well, firstly, it peels off. Yes, you heard me; peels. off. I hate painting my nails, and it chipping is one of the reasons why. When I see a little chip, I immediately start picking it off, and lets face it, half way up nail vanish on 3 out 5 fingers looks just straight up naaa'sty. So no more of whatever the hell that is below...

What's next? It only uses natural elements, therefore, it doesn't smell! The natural ingredients is also kind to your nails. And lastly, it takes a few minutes to dry due to the fact it's water-based.

I can vouch.

Does it really work?

I put on one layer, and it covers really well. So if you're just wanting a nail vanish, one layer is completely fine. However, if you're like me and you like the snazzy little extras (the easy peel off) then you're gonna need to layer up!

After laying up (2 layers with a little touch up), it became a lot easier to peel off. Although, it did take a bit of prompting! But knowing me, (I'm not the best at painting my nails) I probably did a bad job. Anywho, it was definitely easier than chipping away at already chipped nail vanish.

Overall, I'd recommend. A good, sleek finish, along with a little snazzy extra. What more could you want from a nail vanish?

Oh, how right I was. I went to London this week, and the event I was going to had a black chic dress code. I wore my black high waisted ripped jeans, with a high neck ribbed top. I knew that the jacket would go absolutely perfect over the top, and really give the outfit that chic look. It's so elegant looking, but managed to pull it off even with ripped jeans, so definitely versatile.

A Hidden Gem: Hedge Maze, Crazy Golf & Butterfly Zoo

I'm always looking for somewhere fun to go that doesn't break the bank. Every time I've traveled to the midlands, I've always noticed a sign for 'Hedge Maze' in Ross-on-Wye on my way back to Wales and I've always been so intrigued! I've never actually got round to ever going, and it was my friends birthday so I thought it was the perfect opportunity for a good day out.

We checked it out on their website first and saw that they had Crazy Golf and a Butterfly Zoo, too! All for an amazing price of £6.15. Honestly, that's cheaper than a cinema ticket.

When we got there, we bought our ticket and headed straight to the maze. There was a lady on the front who explained the different ways people play and who the owners of the maze were. We decided to all go together at first - it was a little scary! I don't think we realised how big the hedges actually were. We got lost so many times, but we did eventually make it to the middle, where a lovely arch was.

We then went around again - but this time we raced each other. Me and Ross went running in to each other and I asbolutely screamed the place down! I think this put me off my game, and sadly I came second. But the poor birthday girl, went round... and round... and well, round again. We were sat in the middle waiting for quite a while.

I managed to catch a video - hilarious.

You then go through to a bunch of smaller puzzles on the wall and in boxes. It explains where the maze came from, and where they can be found all over Britain. The surroundings are so beautiful, and it's never short of a picture moment, which is why I took so many!

Next, we went in to the Butterfly Zoo. You have to go through the Butterfly Gift Shop, wash your hands and use a protective door and they tell you about the butterflies and give you a booklet on the different kinds they have there. We got in and the birthday girl freaked out and couldn't go through with it! To be honest, it was a little daunting at first, as they would land on you, but after being in there for five minutes you kind of got used to it and was enable to enjoy how beautiful they were. It was absolutely roasting in the greenhouse! Came out absolutely sweating buckets, but it was so worth it.

After the Butterfly Zoo, we had the Crazy Golf to go! There were lots of different little tricks you had to do on each turn. They definitely did a lot with a small space!

There was also a caravan park, literally around the corner so absolutely perfect if you fancy some time away. There's also an absolutely stunning hotel directly opposite the site, with some of its very own gorgeous surroundings.

I'd definitely recommend giving this a go for a day out for all ages, especially when you don't want to break the bank!
